Will the reasonably priced starlet be in attendance?

Overnight parts from Germany will make it a ten second car.

You can still 'compete' with him in outright rankings if you can/like :-)

This is tempting just for a laugh. I mean a 4wd in there? But I doubt that I'd have her ready in time to a spec where she'd pass scrutineering (which is only small stuff) as there's too much other work to get done for clients (again 4wd related) so may just attend as a spectator/mechanic

Please forgive my ignorance - but in regards to the course would this event be similar Norberts old "Max Action" events (ie tight and twisty)?

I only ask because the first event - Jan 29th - also has a Speed dome round and "No limits" are running a hill climb at Jacks hill.
I'm trying to decide where to take the celica for it's first event in 2 years. It's a tough decision as you could imagine

I haven't done the max action events but i wouldnt call this tight and twisty, some courses are fastish. (Saying that, its obviously smaller than jack hills though)

Both those videos are of the Top Gear track, which is probably the least twisty, and therefore fastest of the layouts. But it will be run each event as part of the "Top Gear" board, so that one will be there.

The other courses will vary, and some will be tighter and twistier than others. Compared to the MaxAction events, the layouts probably aren't as tight, but we will be trying to get a good mix of layouts that let people stretch their cars legs a bit and let the good handling cars put in some fast times too.

Personally, I think the courses we've run so far have been at the faster, less twisty end of the spectrum. But we'll be trying to introduce some new layouts in the coming series to give everyone something to enjoy, as there are plenty of us that like lots of corners :-)

BTW, it will probably be SPIDA's first event in 2 years too! It started this week, and just got some finishing-up to do and a couple of electrical gremlins to track down. January may be Schultz Electrics time!
