Was it the key switch in the barrell?
problem solved, i shall do a write up of how to wire toyota imobiliser systems shortly!
Was it the key switch in the barrell?
the blue/black wire is the "key warning switch"
basically, its a switch inside the key barrel to tell the ECU that theres actually a key in there.
if you try to hook the lot up without grounding the switch, the ecu knows somethings up.
so, i just grounded the wire, hooked up the yellow and yellow/black to the "a" plug (since there are two of each wire, it took a bit of switching around) and vroom, she fired!
Whats the 'a' plug? Did you end up using the transponder and chip our just grounded the warning switch wire? Good job tho
you need the whole lot.
when you pick up a 1MZ engine package in australia, you need the loom, ecu, key, key barrel magnetic ring (the part that has "acc", "on", "start" written on it, and the key transponder amplifier/immobiliser ECU.
the "a" plug is the 28 pin connector, with b being 16 pin c 22 pin, and d the big bastard, 34 pin.
Ahh I see, awesome stuff
so does it do mad skids or what????
...... butt scratcher?!
waiting for my fuel pressure guage to get here so i can set the external fuel reg.
unfortunately, i managed to get a hold of a wrecked MCV20 camry after i did the conversion, hence i have all the bits to do this conversion again, this time, using the camry in tank fuel pump/reg.
it runs, and drives though!
