Hi Slim,

no disrespect to you, I appreciate your input on the distance thing. let me tell you what i was thinking when i started CC&D.

the idea was for CH plated cars to be able to get out at least once a month (before current system) and be able to go for a decent drive and have somehwere to park and talk shit while enjoying a coffee and donut (for those who need more than cars to survive)

shopping centre carparks have given a good corner to hide in without Joe Public annoying us by parking to close to our pride and joys and usually having a coffee shop nearby.

as for locations being 'random', the idea was that by holding them in different areas, it allowed people the opportunity to go for a long drive some months, and a short drive others.

I could have made every event the same location, in Croydon close to me, but then I would get the same people every time who i probably see regularly anyway because they live close to me anyway.

I hope this clears up the reasons with finding random coffee spots in suburbs santa doesn't deliver to.

If you do find a large quiet free carpark with coffee facilities close by, PM me and I will endeavour to accomodate you in the future. until then, enjoy the variety of the unknown.

Being in Ballarat l am 90mins from Melbourne before l start travelling to where ever the meet is and l am not bitching.

To put it in mileage terms, it is aprox 300+ ks round trip for me.

So start doing my miles and then think about it.

I can get a winery to open up early one sunday morning if committee is looking for something different.

Its at Rockbank.....just have to get her to open it up early for coffee.

Yeah I was more trying to focus on the me needing to make more effort thing... And Simon is a big fat biatch...

I used to live in Warrnambool and used to make the hike to Melbourne for all sorts of things, Calder, meets, including one such jaunt to Toyfest in Sydney one year, solo.

I am lazy, hence I am going to make this one, even after I am assulted by Def Leppard the night before....
