yeah the hundy ones do look a bit more sleek and modern. and the goal is always to have the engine bay as tidy as possible.

Andrew - My choice of the two? Probably the Hyundai. For a few reasons
A) More easily found at cheap wreckers.
B) They are supported by Haltech (not that VN's aren't explicitly, but they aren't on the price list)
C) They are more compact by a bit and don't require the destruction that the VN's do.
HOWEVER.. I have personally used LS1 coils. They aren't waste spark though, but they are good quality and work with the Haltech REALLY well.... Pricey though.

For what its worth i have a set of internally ignitied Daewoo lanos coils on my 4age (itbs, haltech, etc) my only real issue is the lack of decent leads available for them but i got a custom set made by QLD ignition leads.
