Default Anyone used one of these torque meters?

Seems like a sensible idea but not sure if it would be considered as a replacement for a real torque wrench. What do you think?

i dont trust these digital meters.. such as snap on etc.. but id love to have one prove me wrong as there a fantastic idea, especially when tightening 45 and 90 degrees etc.. when i tried a snap on one it felt like a plastic piece of crap.. thats my opinion

never used one before, or seen one for that matter.
i dont see any reason why it wouldn't work?
it could get in the way on some uses though.

cheap way to get a digial read out meter though.

id probly rather a normal style.

one way to find out if its good enough, that is to get one.

That's a shame. I can't really justify paying a few hundred dollars for a tool I would use one or twice a year so I was hoping for some good news on this. They also have this TradeTools torque wrench. I've bought a few things from Trade Tools Direct and i've been generally happy with their products.

oh and ive use snap on ones at work, i think there great, so quick and easy to use, great for setting angles. never had and issue with one so far.
just last week all a torque wrenchs at work got tested.
all the digital ones came up fine being around a year old, others that were a fuw years old needed resetting but were not out by much.
the warren and brown mechanical were the same.

cheaps ones (even my brand new kincrome) were way out.

i think the main thing is to get them tested at least once a year to make sure there right.

it depends on what your doin up also.

ive got a cheaper kincrome for wheelnuts and basic stuff
then use the better ones for heads and other more important items.

deflection type. Really easy to use as well.

Traded Tools sell Warren & Brown in various sizes. I'll be getting one for the engine builds I have coming up. I only really trust my cheap one as a breaker bar.
