Code will only come from Toyota or in the owners handbook (there should be a card in there with the code on it)
My wife picked up a 2000 avalon, we've had to replace the engine so now the head deck requires a security code apart from going to toyota anyone have an idea what the code might be?
I'm also looking at replacing the deck for a new one. It looks like the dash is full of clipped in plastic. Where would i start in removing it all to get the deck out? Some one told me i would have to take half the dash out is this true?

Took less than 5 mins to get the deck out. Unclip the front starting near the steering wheel and then 4 screws, disconnect the wiring from the deck and it was out.
Now i need to know the speaker wires colours. I'll leave the standard speakers till i can build some funds.

Just google Toyota speaker wire colours, they rarely change from year to year.
