Default Toyota Avalon 2000 'trolley wheels'

    Hi,

So my 2000 Avalon has always had pretty bumpy suspension, as in you really feel the bumps in the road which is strange for what is billed as a soft ride luxury car. So maybe the shocks are shot. But it's always had this tendency to follow gutters in the road, and veer slightly.

But lately it's getting worse, essentially you're holding the steering wheel dead straight, and it will hit a gutter or slope in the road where a normal car you would notice no difference. But this thing veered almost a meter left the other day, at 100kmph. Pretty scary. It's like the front wheels act independent of the steering, there is also a little play in the steering wheel. Needless to say this is dangerous.

I'm a go get it checked at a mechanic soon but what could be causing this??

New set of shocks and get someone to do a wheel alignment. Other then that get the steering rack checked out.
    If in doubt power out
