Only got 2 runs in. Had battery trouble. Best time was 12.3 @ 119mph. No NOS and low boost. No traction in 1st and 2nd. Hopefully go again next week.

I honestly can't believe I managed to pull off a 16.42 @ 84.53 MPH in a granny hatch with a stock Silvertop 20V with no piston rings. Was heaps of fun showing up a Honda boy too, so I'm happy

Well, it does have rings, but with how much oil it burns they might as well not be there at all
I probably could have gone in the burnout comp, sat there revving the cat out of the engine, and I would have won without even spinning a tyre

I agree it's a little smokey ,but seems to go ok .I would do a compression test and cylinder leakage test to find out where the problem lies, it may not be as bad as you think. anyway you did heaps better than I did .you ran .good on you.

Thanks mate. Ye I'll probably get into that on the weekend. I'm actually starting to think it's mainly the valve guides, coz it seems to do it most when I take off after sitting there for a while, and I think it's more than just the valve stem seals coz my last car had the same problem but it wasn't nearly as bad. But then again, it was sucking it though only 16 valves, while this one is coming through 20. Even after filling it with 40W70

hahahah, thought something might have been wrong lol... i didnt see the 12 sec pass, just the first one and was wondering if you bought the car with the turbo....

The first run was purposely driven slowly cause we just installed a Pro Shifter and it hadn't been tested yet. Didn't want anything to go wrong if we'd fucked up the installation. The car is a 10 second car but we are going slowly as it doesn't have a cage yet and we don't have ANDRA licences or anything.
