OK, so my "brilliant" solution is starting to get on my nerves. Could I just slap the C50 gearbox in and still keep the same speedo readings? I've already committed way too much money to this damn thing...

Try another $350 C52, that's the cheapest I've come up with. If I'm going to be replacing the box, I'm only doing it once, then I don't ever want to see the underside of a car ever again...
