try www.toyodiy.com its a good refernce for part no's
I am after a 30:11 speedo driven gear to go in my R154 gearbox to give the VL commodore dash speedo the correct reading, my local Toyota spare parts guy gave me a price of $75 ex japan for 33403-29105 but he requires a chassis number to be able to order it.
Can anyone help me either with alternate part number, a suitable chassis number or even the part I require.
thanks

2002 import Hilux anyone one got a chassis number
wtf happened to the reply I put here yesterday??
Anyway, find another Toyota dealership, or use Amayama, our sponsor.
You DON'T need a chassis number if you give the parts guys a part number.
If he says can't find that part number in his catalogue, tell him to look in the JDM catalogue.
You only need a chassis number if you walk in asking for the speedo gear for a 2002 import Hilux.
When you walk in and ask for 33403-29105 he DOES NOT need a chassis number.
The guy is a goose.
I've ordered at least 50 JDM parts through my local guy by purely giving him the part number, and I've never been asked for a chassis number. Occassionally he comes back with "Is that off a Japanese car" and then its all good.

Thanks for the replys,
the toyota guy found the part number easy enough and was able to give me a price , he even took my contact details and rang me back whilst checking if he could order it without a chassis number, he actual tried calling me 4 time before catching me outside meetings at work, if he was a goose he made it hard work for him self.
Anyway I've ordered the part via Justin at Amayama.
