Andrew, I believe that amichie found this info out originally when looking at other options as he felt the Kings were a bit soft.
Code:Brand F/R PN Kg/mm Wire Dia No of coils Free length Lovells F TFS-51 3.29 16 5 310 R TRS-52 4.11 15 8.5 365 Kings F KTFL-76 2.67 16 5.6 310 R KTRL-77 3.47 14 8 350
nice one mattysshop, thanks.
zop i saw amichies ones, but more after non-mx83 alternatives.
spoke to a very helpful bloke at kings today, he said he cant give me the catalogue with dimensions, but is gonna have a look through it for me and see what else will fit (mainly for the front)
KTRL-25 is 200lb for anyone interested (15lb over the KTRL-77 listed option for mx83)

just got this back from king, looks like no off the shelf option for better fronts.
Hi Andrew
The KTFL-76 is the only coil we do with 165mm id and a150mm reduction on one end.The only way we can do this for you we would have to make a custom coil,so will need to be more precise on the rate as you own it once it is made.
The cost to custom make is approx $300 a pair plus freight so we need to get it correct. They will take around three weeks to make after payment .

My Cressida drags its arse like a dog with worms if i have more than 2 people in the car. I reckon the Kings for the Cressida are comfortable but too soft for carrying any weight in the rear. *subscribed* to see if there's a good alternative.

yeah im not paying $300 for a pair of springs.
if i can stiffen it up for cheap (got a buyer for my existing kings) then ill do it otherwise just leave as is til future suspension work. i have major front end work planned in which jzx81 coilovers would be redundant.

so i worked out a stiffer option for the front, will post some pics when ive finished the cutting and the welding and the drinking
might call the kings bloke again and see if there is something stiffer than KTRL-25 that fits in the rear, they only work out to 3.5kg/mm. might be a bit mismatched. gotta work out the fronts but im guessing they are in the 8-12 range

Hi Andrew
I have given up on KIngs, Lovells and k;mac etc. I have found an excellent spring maker who can make it to your specs or drawing at around half the price kings quoted you. He can also reset springs and make custom sway bars etc.
so the KTRL25 is the stiffest available in that size.
might throw it all together and see how it goes, maybe go custom springs in the back if its no good. your new swaybar did look nice though andrew.
