Rocker cover gasket for sure for the 2-3 cylinder
Will cause a miss, and make is really sluggish.
What colour smoke is it?
hey, so went for a drive up to rents, to do camber bolts for track day, when she started making a real sluggish feel up to boost, i checked behind and there was a fair bit of smoke, =/ i recently rebuilt the ct26, and ATS, put it back together.
i got a compression tester, but on my journey to comp test it, i found no 2 and 3 cylinders above the spark plug were so full of oil upto the socket end..now its covered by a boot cover so nothing came into it, its leaking from some where in there, could this be the inner rocker cover section? also what could cause that much oil its literally liberally coated the rocker cover and noticably under the throttle body coupling
edit: smokes at idle when cold but not at op temperature

im definately thinking its that part of the gasket. because the opening was sealed by the lead boot, so the oil must have been pissing out into the cylinder, what im thinking is maybe the excess pressure from being pumped into it forced its way out onto the top of the cover somehow spraying oil?? the smoke looks grey but i havent reaqlly ever seen blue smoke before, or told the difference between black either. theres a **** load of black stuff sprayed out the exhaust on the ground behind the car though.. ill upload a video quickly. remember only smokes at idle when cold

when i see these rocker cover gaskets leak the oil doesnt really make its way into the cylinder.. whats it breathing like if you remove the oil cap while its running?

That just looks like normal exhaust steam.
The black stuff on the ground is just carbon that the steam picks up from the exhaust pipes.
If it was oil smoking that much at idle, i would think it would be doing it more or less all the time.

Hmm it puffs out smoke when you rev it though:/ and now when your driving there's so much oil being burnt in the engine bay that it comes into the cabin :/
