Angry argh!! 7M losing power under load

Man this car is really pissing me off!! Driving home from work and I hear a big pop, wondering what the fuck it was. Go to drive off and all of a sudden my car stumbles under load.. wtf!!

It'll run up slowly alright, but as soon as it hits about 2500rpm or so it just goes to shit and almost stalls. No power, and revs drop.. so i drop it into neutral and the revs pick up and off i go. Once its loaded up again it stumbles again. I can only just get to 60 ffs. Is it going into a limp mode or something??

    Any ideas please!! -jimmy

    Oh,no check engine light either.

Sometimes you get oil in the spark plug valley that causes the spark plug leads to break down under load. If you take the leads off the spark plugs one at a time and clean them up it may fix it up for a while. If this is the case you will need to fix up the oil leaks anyway.

no oil leaks, motor was just replaced 1000k's ago.

Maybe i shouldnt use the word stumble.. more like it just goes limp. It's not missing.

Check your AFM and the conenction to it.
The engines just goes 'limp' if its not connected after 2000-2500rpm
Had the same thing when I forgot to plug it in after some work

I thought about that too because of what it's doing, but it's definitely connected. Under light load it drives perfectly, but as soon as it gets a bit higher revs drop down to about 3-400rpm. Whats really got me worried is the loud pop that I heard before it all went to shit. What it was and what caused it. Check engine light is not coming on at all, however, do the codes need to be cleared? If so i'll try that in the morning and see if it clears it up.

pop = backfire = rooted AFM?
at least pull off hose and check all the bits are where they are meant to be

    7MGE or 7MGTE?

If gte, you may of poped a intercooler hose.

If GE, check your AFM and your vac hosing.

Check dash to see if exhaust manifold light is lighting up indcating it is in limp home mode. Also check induction hose for tightness and make sure it has no cuts letting air in. Also check to see if your manifold bolts are tight. You can do this by using a small amount of wd-40 sprayed while reving to see air leak. Also check condition of your ignition leads. If the boots are white they have carbon build up. Also check your earth wires are tight. Check all sensors are connected. Check inlet manifold for tightness. And finally pull off induction tube and check to see if your turbo is not seized. I hope this helps. Also check your igntion timing and condition of your coil packs.
