AU$TRALIA... come and stay and PAY and PAY!!! The moral high horse of the world!
well the toyota forged item is not up 2 the task
uh.. iirc forged are generally stronger than billet? The only reason billet cranks exist is that the forging process is astronomically expensive.
Even forged the only ones I'm aware of are Jun as HKS discontinued their stroker kit quite a long time ago. Perhaps contact Terry at Road & Track and see if his supplier can still make them up on order. http://www.mr2australia.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=10350 not going to be cheap though.
If in doubt power out
i believe crower can do custom for around $2500, check with totenkopf. pretty sure he got a quote for one.
I am still interested in getting a billet crankshaft. Brian Crower can do them, lead time is pretty big and they usually require samples. If we are persistant I am sure we can work something out.
May not work too well if you want standard 3SGTE stroke though, as I am chasing 91mm stroke item.
Right, I've started speaking with Brian Crower. I am personally interested in a 3SGTE crank with 91mm stroke (same as 5SFE, what all the stroker pistons are based off of). I pretty much need to get some justification for them to make 3SGTE crankshafts, as they are unsure if there would be enough interest. Normal RRP would be around $1900USD from what they tell me. I'd probably be looking at getting a batch of 5 stroker cranks from them as an initial GB. They said if I ordered five they could do them for $1500 each.
Anyway, how much interest would there be in 3SGTE stroker crankshafts or just plain 3S cranks? I'll probably make a standalone post on this subject.
