Default RT132 needs a new life, suggestions?

So for the past 12ish month i have been driving a MINT RT132 Corona,
BUT its time she got some love and Im getting abit frustrated with trying to start her in the cold and its lack of acceleration <60kph etc.
So Im in 2 minds either ditch the poor girl and update to something. or try and give her a new lease on life.
I really like the corona and its so useful very comfy and the red/maroon velor interior is pimp as.

Was talking at work and the boys all like the idea of a 18RG on ITBs with a general tidy up eg. new wheels new suspension get the bars rechromed etc.
Also possibly tying to setup a supercharged 18r on gas injection.

I initially was thinking plonking a NA 1J or beams 3S but engineering seems like more effort than reasonable.

probably have 7-10k to spend either way weather its an update or a upgrade.
    What do you guys think?

Upgrade.......7-10K on a 'rona is just wasting money......granted like you say the RT132 is a nice comfy car but a bit of a slug.....don't drop $$$ on it only to have it still worth less than half you have have sunk into it.......plenty of good upgrade options.
