Not sure about FWD wheel bearings, however my 6T unit had no problems the other weekend putting together a 9" centre.

Doing the things that aren't popular... cause being popular and being good are often distinctly different.
I'll have to check my press but I did my FWD corrolla wheel bearings easily, and this is just a supercheap hydraulic press.

Hare & Forbes have a 20 tonne floor standing press for $230, $350 gets you a 20 tonne press with a gauge and removable hydraulic ram and pump (for other uses).
I have a 6T press, that I bought off ebay for about $70 and picked up locally. Its definitely a bit rough, and the channel section making up the frame is slightly bowed so it doesn't adjust the working height easily, but for the few times I use it its not an issue.
Have done AE92 front bearings with it. Force required was 'mild', so I reckon with some really stiff ones it'll still handle it, but only just.
So for occassional home use 6T will do the job, but if you're gonna be doing them often I'd step up to a 10T.
Ok so I checked and mine is a 12t press.
