Wheel bearings tend to need something fairly big.
I've got a small super cheap one (6 or 8t), and it's great for bushes and the like.
I was thiking about buying a hyraulic press as i seem to be forever trying to get to other peoples to press bushes/bearings etc etc. just curious about sizings...
if all its going to be used for is suspension bushes, wheel bearings etc. what size should suffice ? id prefer to get something fairly small and bench mountable as im quite space limited.

how much did the 6/8t unit cost you ? bushes and thing like idler pulley bearings and general small stuff is what it'll do the most.

paid $109 from supercheap a couple of weeks ago for a six tonne to do rear control arm bushes on the pajero. Worked fine for 3 and broke a weld on the 4th but easily fixed.HAve since used on a couple of sets of bearings and a cv joint, handles all reasonably well.
