it was a day for all-paw fail in general.

Garth ripped a 1:09.10 on his 4th lap in my supra, including hanging the arse out for a very nice power slide, and there was a TITS rx7 that I very badly want (apparently runs 1.01)

pfft an oil leak that took 10 minutes to sort is hardly breakage.....i'd say the poopra had more down time

very true. Sorry, how was your water temp looking when you hit the loud pedal?

Supra had 2 minor fails - intercooler hose popped off, then a boost leak (turns out Lawrence didn't do up one of the hose clamps - oops!)

Oh, and in the last half hour Garth boiled the brake fluid going for "just one more fast lap"

His brakes were "crap", tyres "rubbish", clutch slipping, steering knocking, and boost falling off in the top end.... but it drove out, lots of people had lots of fun, and I think generally it was a success

Rona pulled a 1:12.7 - bloody stout for a first outing

I may have to concede that one as "unprovable" - one of my tyres got a massive chunk taken out of it, so next track day will be on different tyres. You stick with the idea of me doing 1.08, I'll stick with having cracked 1.07, and fingers crossed a decent set of slicks will make both numbers not important

Rona's car is good but Rona himself is feeling quite broken atm. I took 12 beers down and none of them remain in my esky and as far as I can remember I did 3 shots of JD because Matt is a prick determined to get me wasted. Learnt a shitload about the car and the track yesterday. Between the tips from Garth & Justen I reckon if I can put together a clean lap the car will do 1:10.XX. Very happy with a 1:12.79 on my first outing, was an abosolute ball getting the car sideways at times and just keeping it planted as the car just gradually pulled itself back in line.
