The thing is I bought the right ones, they just cocked up the delivery (and have admitted as much)
Anyway..... Now no-one need be brained with a camry driveshaft

well yes, following my usual form.
Although last track day I was the first one waiting at brooks rd...
although really I need t obe arriving at wakefield around 1 or 2am, so 7pm is WAY too early to be starting something as simple as a fluid and sparks change![]()

Speaking of usual form, i'm not sure i'm going to have functioning rear wheel bearings - turns out Toyota and The Internet were right after all and even somebody's "bearing guy" can't magically rebuild a replace-as-an-assembly hub.
Given i can't find any AE111 rear hubs in Sydney (let me know if you have a line on some!) current plan is find my old AE92/3 hubs and hope that they're as similar as they looked to the AE111 so we can pull them apart and rebuild a combination from old inners with current outers... sounds like a long shot, and i haven't actually found the old ones yet. They're definately not here - that leaves searching the parents place (but not holding my breath) on the way out to linden's tomorrow night after work, which is Wednesday right? And the car will still be up on stands with not much installed in the rear.
Meh, worst case is i'm spending thursday after work re-installing everything and i go with hubs in the same state i started the week with. But you can easily feel and hear free play with the hub in your hands. Right side is fine though.
Hmmm; this may prompt action soon after returning this time around.
Oh, in other news, Ryan rang the Pelican yesterday to confirm numbers for our booking and got told they're renovating the bunkhouse, so we're in 2 cabins.
Steve, i got you in but you're making conditions tight at the Pelican! At least we have a couple of couples coming so with 12 there isn't a man-man situation in one (or both) of the double beds...

Cheers. If need be, I can throw a mattress in & sleep on the floor. Wouldn't be the first time.
As for the hubs, I've got from my EPC the part number for the RHS is 42409-19015. Does this match your knowledge?
If so, its the same part number as the AE100 & AE101 Corolla. Might be a bit easier to find, even worst case getting some from a wrecker?
Que? I get part# 42450‑12040 for RHS - you sure you're looking at AE111?
First port of call was wrecker gear - there's a chance AE101 might work but i don't remember specs; i know AE92/3 to AE111 has a different diameter for disc centre ring by 1mm but look similar otherwise.
Oh and probably a good idea to throw a mattress in just in case if you have room.

That part number is showing up as AE111. I don't have the chassis number, so maybe it's getting confoosed.
But it's also showing up as the same as AE101.
Sounds like ST18# to ST20# Celicas. Same except for centre bore on the rotor.
BTW, I'll be at the Brooks Rd meeting point.
Toyota changes part numbers like Rona changes undies (ie; once a year) so I wouldnt take EPC numbers as gospel

So anyone got a hub they want to donate to science?

What're the guys doing in the thread where they're trying to do a 5 stud conversion. Looks like someone in there has got a few hubs around.
And whilst Toyota might change the part number, inevitably it's discovered that the parts are pretty much interchangeable...
Why would you want to remove ABS? I mean it's great to learn how to threshold brake, but in reality unless you have a really early abs car with super agricultural spec ABS it will be faster and more consistent than you will ever be....
Also i did a 1:14 with 80kw less than you + a passenger's weight, no rear brake pads and canvas showing on my semislicks. So if you dont get at least a 1:13 i will laugh at you for ever
No pressure![]()
