    What does VSS stand for?

Oldcorollas, I had a look at the piston and it looks fine.

Anyway, I will make sure wherever i take the head I let them know exactly what the issue was. I will also get a price on getting the valves re-seated, full set of new valves and polishing. Anyone got a basic idea or good workshop recomendation?

Any recomendations to where I should get new cams from too (256) and should these be less than $400 the pair?

Ok, for workshop reccomendations the best place in VIc is Crankshaft Rebuilders (or Crankies as they are more commonly known), and i would heartily reccomend Clive Camshafts as a cam grinder. Both are excellent, and Clives still even remember me after two years of not being around there.

I think yuo'd be lucky to get new cams for $400/pair. I think WADEs are the cheapest, at around $600 pair. CrowCams will custom grind to your specs, about $330 a cam *I think*
