    Default 1JZ/a340e aftermarket ecu??

Hey all, looking for the best/easiest most reliable aftermarket ecu for a 1jz running auto gearbox (a340e) i looked into the Apexi Power FC only to find out auto is a no go without doing a manual conversion and that outta the price range for a R154...

I dont know much about ecus so looking for the easiest to use or one that is readily tuneable in perth.

Oh and the car its in is a RA28

There is one Power FC that is suitable for a 1JZ/Auto, but that is only the JZX100 (maybe JZZ30) so that limit to the VVTi models only.

Really, there are only 2 options and that is to piggyback with the standard computer or go stand-alone and run the auto with something like a Supra Stick.

The AEM EMS V2 will run the auto if you dont want to pay for a ECU + Auto ECU. Driftmotion have a plug n play kit as well for JZA70's or JZA70 plugs.

They're different enough to require you to hack up the harness, but the ECU should still work no probs. Its just a generic standalone pre-loaded with 1JZ maps, get the right software on it it'll run anything.

They're supposed to be good but I don't know anyone local with one. Will be looking in to one myself at some stage.

Is it a cable line pressure box? You could probably pull a 7M trans computer out of a few people's conversion scrap bins. It's a fairly simple wire up if you have all the right plugs/harnesses.

Even if you don't have the wiring looms, but you have the right box and can be bothered wiring from scratch you could do this. There aren't too may inputs into the trans computer.

Otherwise maybe look into a manual valve body?
