Basic service on the celica done. Paperwork printed out, filled out and in the glovebox therefore very hard to forget. Accommodation just up the road from Midvale sorted.

    Can't wait

Hah, you're organised. I'm trying to fix the remote central locking while waiting for weld-y stuff to cool down. Neither of which have anything to do with getting the car(s) ready.

    LOL.

I've made some progress on the supra today, with the help of Robin and Ian, it now has a gearbox again woot.

Now, to connect all the crap that had to be removed...

So, supra made it into work today.

    Hopefully it stays functioning!

BOM.gov.au says it going to be partly cloudy, so hopefully no rain!

I was thinking of taking out my custom boot box as the car is actually quite heavy with it in but I figured if it rains I definately wont be getting any traction and will probably need the weight in the back to balance it all out so I'll keep it in there this time and see how the car performs. Havn't driven it hardcore style in awhile so will be interesting to see how well I go.

I have my helmet cam and outdoor cams ready to roll too... bring on Sunday!!

Surely weight on the rear on will take more weight off the front?

Too much weight in the rear will certainly take weight off the front but compared that with no weight in the back is what I'm not sure about... how would that affect the handling thou worst or better, understeer or oversteer is that the question? I dunno.

Hi Glenn, yeah motor is running smoothly now (other issues took it off the road, only been driving it since Feb this year) havn't had a chance to dyno the car yet thou but your map gave massive wheel spin definately not a peak hour map haha I had a second Motec map tuned by the Motec dealers West Racing, it drives better at low revs but it doesn't feel anywhere near as quick as the map you provided so not sure what they done, happy to send you a copy if you want to take a look at it thou. Once I gather some money together Ill look into the dyno more closely, for now figured I wont touch it, Ill just enjoy driving it for awhile! haha Thanks Glenn!

    210Kws now ay??? Respect!

prob understeer more due to the fact that the weight is on the end and the front wheels are the driving and steering wheels. also less traction on acceleration as the front will lift up even easier. that said, how heavy is the bloody thing?!
if it worries you, just run very grippy tyres on the rear and decent tyres up front. you will understeer a lot more which is possibly a lot easier to drive then a fwd with the rear hanging out.

my old levin used to be tail end happy but being fwd, it sucked a bit.

I honestly have no idea about the weight, something I need to look into thou! Can't be more then the motor thou surely, guess thats the beauty of these events is to test things out! I'm running Hankook RS2's all round.
