    The above info could very likely be a cause of the system failure the car has. I work in Auto Electrical parts and have heard of many similar faults due to alternator starting to pack it in. I logged into the sales system at work and if the application guide is correct we have both aftermarket ($264) and genuine ($330) units in stock. If you do need an alternator it would help me to find the exact one you require if I have the O/E Toyota or Denso numbers. I also should be able to get a regulator using those numbers if that is all that is needed. You will pay only the wholesale price and recieve a tax invoice for the amount charged.

    thanks both mark and greg.

    Greg your post reminded me of some very strange issues my old 165 was having when the alternater was packing it in. I will test it as soon as I get a chance and post back here.

    Are you sure you are not running low resistance injectors on an ECU that
    is designed for high resistance injectors ??

    jondee I am running injectors straight out of a supra...well out of a supra then cleaned then flow tested lol. The car travelled 2000km fine on them while i was breaking the new motor in
