Injector Fuel Rail resizing?

Being a little new to EFI - is it possible to resize the holes in a fuel rail?

Thinking here specifically of getting the injector ports in the 1uz rail upsized from 11mm to 14mm, so I can get more injectors for it.

Is this possible easily enough?

surely a rail could be made? you can buy blank rails from performance shops and some alloy pipe and nipples n go from there.

As long as there's enough meat around the existing hole, and you have a drill press with a vice and appropriately sized drill bits, I can't see what's so hard about upsizing the holes.
Heck, you can't exactly mis-measure the position of a hole that's already there....

I certainly couldn't do it,because primarily I'm hamfisted as hell, but I'm sure others could do it.
upsizing 1.5mm either side would take f'k all off it.

to get the new bore centred and the right chamfer on the lip (to stop the o-rings being torn up during insertion/removal) would be a PITA.

EFI hardware (in melbourne?) sell blank rails and probably have a jig/template for 1UZs (or could point you to someone who does). I had a local machine shop do mine for the 18RTE and gave them a 4agze rail to copy for bore ID and chamfer. Cost fuckall compared to buying name-brand bling. You can then have fittings attached as desired.

not enough injectors out there for the stock rail? The 7M guys don't seem stuck for chioce

Really I want indy blues, and they appear to only be 14mm. But I htink you can get them resized, so I might try that instead I think.

If there's enough meat around the existing injector holes I would have no issue drilling them up. The location of the holes isn't vital to the last 0.01mm and they aren't going to move much. Only thing I'd worry about is the surface finish of the resulting hole (where the O-ring is going to fit). A 14mm hone might be handy there, but may also be expensive.
