but yeah if u wanna cool it then cool it dude no problemo i just havent seen anyone cool the oil on a 1g before not that it hasnt been done yet

but relocating it makes sense as it a pita to change the filter when servicing
nothing a trolley jack cant fix though

Hehe, I laughed at my mate changing the oil on his GZ20 yesterday for that very reason. I can change my oil filter from above the engine bay.

Because I don't have double wishbone suspension protruding into my engine bay room. I've got enough room to just reach under and grab it.

yeah but someone also mentioned the ford part number for an oil filter relocation kit for the 1g-gte this is the part number that was given on the forum dont know how true it is as i only read it in one of the posts in the old forums

Just to confirm, for the sake of the search engine....

the 1G-GTE oil filter thread is indded 3/4" (same as 7m, 2jz, 1jz, 1uz etc etc)

And for further confirmation, I have a generic Ford oil filter relocation kit which works with the common Toyota oil filter thread size. I've tried it on 18R, 5M, 6M, 7M and 2JZ blocks, so it should work with just about any Toyota engine.

it's because it's a fitting, most fittings like this are imperial, there's a reason but i can't remember....

any idea what a stock rb20 r32/r33 rb25 oil filter thread is? as i put in another thread, ive found a cheap greddy oil filter relocation kit for cheap and i want to screw it to my 1jz... providing the thread is the same
