but relocating it makes sense as it a pita to change the filter when servicing
nothing a trolley jack cant fix though

yeah but someone also mentioned the ford part number for an oil filter relocation kit for the 1g-gte this is the part number that was given on the forum dont know how true it is as i only read it in one of the posts in the old forums

And for further confirmation, I have a generic Ford oil filter relocation kit which works with the common Toyota oil filter thread size. I've tried it on 18R, 5M, 6M, 7M and 2JZ blocks, so it should work with just about any Toyota engine.
