    Default cleaning injectors on a 7mge.. cost?

    any1 know where i get my injectors cleaned for a reasonable price?.. my mechanic is telling me $30 or $40 each.. is that about right or can it be done cheaper?.. cheers

    The mobile guy I use here in Brisbane charges about $25 per injector if they are already removed from the car.

    For a 4 cyl it costs $110 all up inc. GST.

    i paid $80 for my 7mgte ones to be cleaned and new O rings.

    Sorry for hijacking your thread GRANDE... Terra could you PM me the contact details of this guy? I have a set sitting on my desk at work Im about to get cleaned, and that sounds like a good price.

    $25 to $33 per injector is the normal rate most places will charge.

    Depending on your being lucky, you may want to try to clean them yourself. The idea is to run a jet of carb cleaner spray through them. To make injectors open (don't hold more than 5-10 seconds though), put 12V to them, any polarity. You may find it useful to connect a 10Wt bulb in series to limit injector coil current.
