@ ballpencil, know which bike you've gotten the VR sensor?
Or has anyone got a spare lying around for some $$?

I would of thought a Falcon sensor would be the easiest to source in Oz, presume the 6 cylinder EDIS sensors are the same as the 4?

@caam: It's a pit bike. Any single cylinder bike with CDI should have it. I'm from Indonesia so i doubt you have the exact same bike.. but i do know you have the 225cc Yamaha Scorpio there? Those have the pickup you need. Nose boogers cost more than the pickup.. but you still need to re-do the bracket.

    All EDIS sensors will interchange.

Checked that the EDIS module hasn't shit itself? Junk yard specials tend to do that at times.
Also, Y U NO WIRE THE VR SENSOR DIRECTLY TO THE MS! Dial in the tuning pots and bam, no more pissing around with crappy EDIS

Well I haven't checked the module hasn't shit it's panties because I don't know how too! It's got power but no signal to itself
Nor do I know how to run the coilpacks without edis (although I would like too, fuck fords)
It hasn't been crappy before now, awesome, actually

Yes it's either the module or the VR sensor. Funny that it stopped working after untouched parking. You can check the VR sensor with a DVM. Set the DVM to read mV and check if the sensor is giving any voltage if you lightly tap the pickup surface with a screwdriver tip. If it's dead, it'll show 0 volts regardless.

Has anyone powered their coil directly on a VAST spec ignition? I want to get spark cut working and as far as I can see its a fairly simple job.

    Any advice?

If you sticking with the dizzy and using just a single coil, just pick up a single coil driver (http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/d...kit-p-387.html) to install into you MSPNP.
It should go in Q1: And you run a wire from S1 to a spare pin on the loom, that you can use to connect to the coil.

This will drive the coil directly instead of through the VAST igniter and will let you do spark retard / cut

Which wire do i have to tap into on the coil for the spark cut?? That wire is srill floating round my engine waiting to be hooked up??

You'll need to buy the coil driver first - http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/d...kit-p-387.html
You need to undo the negative terminal wire from the ignitor to the coil, then connect the wire running through the loom to the negative terminal on the coil. The wire running through the loom connects into the main plug via one of the old dis-used ecu pins, something like AC idle up or EGR (need to check my wiring tables), then that needs to be connected to the S1 pin at Q1 where the coil driver needs to be installed.

Turned out being the vr sensor as expected, replaced it with a falcon eBay jobby.
Bracket needed abit of changing though as the mounting points are backwards and further away from the sensor
Cheers for the help. Squirters fo lyf.

    Questions;
For my MS2PNP which is setup using the 4-1 dizzy (running basic trigger) exactly whats required to run COP wasted spark?
Does the ignitor have to stay?

I'm not entirely sure how its wired up, from my basic research you can do it two ways with that dizzy

With the 4-1 dizzy and the VAST ignition system (igniter + coil), it essentially acts like an EDIS system. The VAST ignitor reads the pulses from the dizzy VR pick up on the NE wheel and filters it and produces a nice healthy 12v square wave signal that you can feed to the ECU (in your case, the MSPNP). If you want to go to sequential, you need to ditch the VAST ignitor. You need to wire the dizzy up directly to the MS, you wire the NE wheel (4 tooth) to the VR+ and VR- and the G wheel (1 tooth) up to the VR2+ (both wheels share the VR- ground). This will let you swap the ignition settings to DUAL WHEEL and use a 4-1 setup at CAM speed.

If you decide to go with the 24-1 small port dizzy, this is the same way, except you use 24-1 setting (like the below image)

To wire it up as Wasted Spark, if your using the 1ZZFE COPs, you just need to wire the IGt pin on the first pair of cylinders to IGN1 and the second pair to IGN2.
There are like 4 output pads on each of IGN1 / IGN2.

Now, this assumes that the MSPNP is just a DIYPNP with all the stuff needed for that specific car pre-wired for the buyer. Can you get a photo of the internals of the MSPNP to confirm my assumptions
