Good idea, I'll fire off an email and see what they say.
They mention it has a different pin out on the site so someone there knows a thing or two, that's how I see it![]()
and remember that DIY autotune (assuming you bought from them?) is obligated to provide support for you, since they are reselling an MS product, and probably have some exerience with the re-pin..
send em an email and see how they can help![]()

The guys at DIYAutoTune are pretty good, email Russ Patrick, he's got plenty of 4A experience with MegaSquirts and PNP's (AE86 owner)
Sounds good to me, I'll just check my dizzy and hopefully I'm good to go.As long as there's a 4 tooth and a 1 tooth trigger wheel in the distributor, you should be able to just repin the connector to match the USDM pinout and you should be just fine. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,

I need that as the new danger tag at work
Got everything working, didn't run into many issues at all.
One issue is my now lack of IAT sensor..... whilst I would order one for OS $30 shipping time in December is downright stupid. Anyone have a local lead?
yup, commonwhore ones are the same thing. afaik...
from memory i got my first one thru holden.. was like $20
should be able to get a relevant part number from the MS site (the B&G one?) and find an aussie equiv

Wonder what its worth from Holden though........
probably only $20ish?
i remember them being pretty cheap.. it might have been $18 a few years ago, i forget.
i thought holden was pretty cheap for a lot of their common items?
might be able to get one from supercrap as well.. but genuine GM is cheap enough not to bother.
egay has them at $40+ = rip.

Sweet, I didnt really consider going to a dealer because normally they charge a million dollars for everything.
I'll swing by GMH spare parts tomorrow I guess, wonder what they will say when they ask what car and I say Toyota MR2?
LOL.. take them a pic.. say you want one like that
you could just say Lexcen
yeah i was surprised also.. i got air and coolant temp sensors from holden.
there was also some airbox that was a greta deal too.. filter and airbox for $30ish.. maybe VL or VN?

I work with a bloke who used to be a Holden service manager for 20 odd years so I'll see if he can get me cost price, he has a lot of contacts on his phone
I'll let you know how I go
Just get a coolant temp sensor (If you have a spare 4A one, even better, cause you already know the biasing values). They work the same, they are just a little slower at responding to temp changes, but are far more robust then the open air element ones (Dom and I have already broken one each from vibration).
Yeah? Was going to weld a bung into my intake piping?
If you reckon the coolant one is the way I'll get one of those. Same sort of deal with it being of a V* commo?
