I think Spectre is correct. 235/40/17 all round at the moment.
I would like to go down to 215/45/17 at the front only to stop the fronts scrubing on bumps. Less then 1% difference in overall diameter.
What does everyone reckon?
Glen
I wouldnt... but thats me.
I would be fixing the guards so they didnt scrub.

I'll take a few pictures this weekend, I don't think its possible without major panel work.
Strange though, my 225/45/17 at +37 have plenty of room on the front.
Its the 255/45/17 at +12 which is the problem on the rear.

it'll be cheaper to get a ct20b, but if you do decide to get it, provided there's nothing wrong with the turbo you have now it'd be better to just sell it here than send it over for a price reduction/core exchange.
Yeah, I'd go a CT20b for the cheap option, or a GT28 if you can spend a bit more - wouldn't bother with anything in between, although since you say you want to keep as much of the piping original as you can it makes a bit of sense.
On understeer - I've got the whiteline rear swaybar on mine with otherwise completely standard (original) suspension, and it's oversteer-ish under most conditions.
Hmm, I would love oversteerish. The CT20b is proving hard to find.
Glen
Just a quick update. The understeer issues where fixed with a wheel alignment and reducing the fronts from 235/40/17 to 215s
Reducing the fronts?
So whats now on the rear?
You are not meant to run different tyre sizes front to back due to the center diff (you'll cook it).
To run different sizes, you have to pay very close attention to rolling diameters.

I fixed my under steer with a nice sway bar and 2 degree camber at front
