Another thing Iv been reading on these forums is putting a lexus IS400 AFM and some 550 cc injectors ........any takes on that ? should this be after the above mentioned mods (BOV, AFR, Boost controler) or (piggyback)??................just trying to narrow it down to `to do list` and the `right order`.

Larger ingectors etc is only properly managable by an aftermarket ecu. I would...

    find second hand bov $100
    remove all a/c components FREE
replace the two hoses on intake that feed turbos $20
Cold air induction (tube, funnel, sheet) $80
shim wastegates if you can be bothered getting in there, or cheap boost controller $40

    Biggest improvement on a stock 1ggte is, in this order;
    - replace dump pipes with separate pipes rather than the single stock unit
    - intercooler
    - up the boost to 14psi (gen2, 18 gen3)

Chuck it on a dyno with afr analysis and fit a fuel piggy back of some sort, like a XEDE or SAFC2.
    RA23 - Twincharged
    JZZ20 - Daily

the age old upgrade of 550cc's and lexus AFM is usually done on the 7M-GTE engines (here in the UK anyway) never heard of this being done on a 1G-GTE (not saying it can't be done of coarse).
i found it quite difficult to get a single manual boost controller to work properly on a twin turbo engine, the shimming of the wastegates is much simpler and cheap consisting of 16 1.5mm thick washers and about an hours effort.
as for an air/fuel gauge, go for 1 thats "wideband" although you really need a wideband lambda sensor for that to work properly. mine is an Autometer gauge but can't remember how much it was?(probably around £40?)
intercooler wise i got a medium sized 1 complete with 2.5" hardpipe kit and silicon hose joiners for around £120 brand new from a reputable seller on ebay. as mentioned you don't need a huge 1 for a 1G, mines rated for a max of 350horses.
the real trick for a few extra ponies is un-restricting the flow of gases, intake and exhaust. a 3" diameter straight through exhaust system is more than adequate here.
b.o.v. wise don't be drawn into the the theory that you need to spend a fortune on a HKS SSQV unit because you can get a more than efficient unit (again ebay is good for this) for around £30-£40 with a hardpipe mounting included.
i totally agree with removing the A/C system, it drains power and fuel on a major scale.
Remembering that 1G's need love too!

So thanks to you guys i`v finally done the Intercooler piping, seperate dump pipes and when I went to install the MBC, I was not sure on how to do it. Can anyone from experience/knowledge guide me on how to safely install a MBC on a 3rd gen 1G GTE.

Also I`m concerned that if I install this I was going to keep it closed, then slowly turn it up because I am not sure how much the boost would be on any amount of opening, but my mate told me that if I keep it closed and start the runs, there would be 0bar boost as opposed to the stock 0.75bar and you might blow your turbos or worst. What to do ??? :S

Im not sure how you put a picture on this as it is just asking for a URL and not pasting the picture here. The MBC is like a T pipe with 3 nozzels coming out of it......any pictural help or diagram or instructions would be great too

most mbc's have 2 outlets with a vent to atmo port.
you're one has 3, allowing a choice of inside cabin installation. (great idea)

    the three connections being
1-Pressure source from the turbo compressor outlet
    2-Connection to the wastegate actuator
    3-Connection to the intake-pipe, pre-turbo

look for the arrow or using your mouth blow through one outlet and feel for air through one of the other outlets.
the port that has the air flow-through goes to the actuator, then all you have to do is #3

I see what you`re saying but from the picture it seems we are blocking off 1 of the compressor outlets. is that a good idea ? In addition to your approach I found this approach as well without the blocking thing (in the attached pictures). I am not sure what the technicalities are of this....good or bad...

Lastly what is number 3, as in how is it done ? where does the pipe go? The reason I am asking for 3 is because I was going to put a small filter on 3 to prevent any dust from going in but thats about it till I read what you wrote......any help ?

Also when you say mine has a choice of inside cabin installation, im guessing other 2 port MBC`s dont have this ?? if so how ? (just some knowledge to make more sense in my head on the options or what to do). Cheer!!

all typical 2 outlet mbc's have a port hole
it is not filtered or needs to be, its exit only.
running this mbc in your cabin will result in escaping exhaust fumes. (not good)
your one has a port fitting enabling you to fit a hose, so fumes can be recycled back into the intake piping. (pre turbo)
or alternatively you can install into the engine bay without any hose or filter, just leaving it as is.
    do not block it off...

the first diagram is the same idea as the one i posted. (bocking off the rear turbo)
the second one is a electronic boost controller setup (no good in your case)

Wouldn`t Blocking off the rear turbo be putting a strain on the rear turbine, compressor housing ? Like the 2nd diagram for the electronic boost controller, I found similar knowledge on the net for a manual one, without blocking the rear one. i.e. t-pipe the 2 compressor and t-pipe the 2 actuators and both go in 1 and 2 ports of the boost controller and 3rd as u clarified can be pre turbo or left open........is there any advantage/disadvantage of blocking the rear one ??

Don`t want to loose a turbo in the process, so just want some expertise knowledge......thanks for the valuable replies
