I run a open helmet and they dont mind, just needs the right sticker.

well I hope that is ok too. doesn't have a sticker, but it is stitched on the inside - AS1698

I can't see me having the money to buy a new helmet between now and Wednesday night

Yeah mine has a sticker plus stitched inside, mind you they've never looked closely at it, just that Ive got it, usually resting on the back seat so they cant get a clear view.

Looks like my microtech is fucked....can't rev past 6500 under load..

So not much point coming down with a half tuned car...

Notes on Helmets...

If your helmet is over 12 years old then it is probably not acceptable for use on the Drag Strip. Look for the following markings to check if your helmet is ok to use for racing. Sometimes the label is under the padding inside the helmet.

Full or Open Face Helmets bearing any of these standards are acceptable;
SNELL SA 2000, SA 2005, SFI 31.2 (US)
SNELL M 2000, M2005, SFI 41.2 (US)
BS 6658-85 Type A (British)
SNELL 2000/2005 - SFI 31.1 (US)
BS 6658-1985 Type A/FR (British)
AS/NZS 1698/2006 (AS/NZS 1698) < Note this new standard

From the markings inside my helmet, I think it was made in 1995...
so if they actually have a close look at my helmet, I might not be able to race!!

Anyone got a spare helmet they can bring down? - size M or bigger

I still reckon you should be able to put a 13 down at least surely.
