    Default help - sigma LCA

I'ved searched on the old forums but can't find the info i'm after..
I bought some 330mm sigma control arms from the wreckers and i want to fit them into my ra23 celica for a bit of negative camber..
my problem is that i dont know which balljoint to use! I went to buy a new sigma balljoint but when i compared it to my celica balljoint the diameter of the thread is smaller?!?
The celica balljoint doesn't look like it would be a direct fit into the sigma arm either
What balljoints has everyone else used?
Any help on this would be great!
    Thanks,
    Mark

Use the sigma balljoint and get a matching (sigma) nut. That way it will be same/same, and still fit.

    Cheers,

Yeah okay, but if the sigma bolt and nut are smaller then wont it be a loose fit inside the celica steering arm?? Considering the celica uses the larger diameter bolt/nut balljoint normally the wouldn't the sigma one be too thin?
Its kinda hard to describe what i mean but i hope you get my drift..
    Have you done this before?
Thanks for your help so far, just wanting to clarify

Yeah exactly, how would it work if the bolt diameter was smaller? It wouldn't "press" in as it usually does with the tapered end.
    Kind Regards,

Yeah I know what you mean. You could do it up real tight (it's a tad on the dodgy side though... ), or you could run Sigma steering arms as well. I'm pretty sure they are about the same size as Toyota's. Can someone confirm this?

    Cheers,

Sigma steering arms are all wrong. Attach with 3 bolts rather than 2.

However I will sell you a pair if you want. Only $850 for them both.

I'm pretty sure GH Sigma Power steering arms would do the job. Can't confirm though...

I sure hope your kidding too!
Surely someone out there has some sigma arms in their celica and has taken a different approach than just hoping for the best..
I did notice that the later model sigmas at the wreckers that had the 360mm arms had 2-bolt steering arms, is this the go maybe??
    Keep the ideas coming!

I ripped a set off a (I think) GE Sigma last weekend. Twin headlights, pressed in ball joint and 3 bolt steering arms.

I can't comment on other model steering arms. However I still have that set for sale...
