Hi,

I see the pics on your engine has the air pump?

My silver one doesn't have that, nor did Trini (before she was upgraded), so pics of their vacuum pipes wouldn't help you.

However, I do remember the 28 that Hairy_Apes_22 owns has the air-pump set up, and it is full stock. You can PM him and ask for some pics. His car has a different shape air filter box to what mine have, and also has the flap to suck in warm air from the exhaust when the engine is cold. Again, mine don't have that. I was of the beleif that the pre air pump engines were earlier than the air pump ones... but I've never really investigated this.

Yeah, I had a quiet one. knocked off a few Benedictine's and then went to bed around 1am.

Got woken up at 6am though, which was not good. So will sleep well tonight.

i pulled the carby off today and cleaned out all the shit
i found that the heat riser pipe from the exhaust manifold had been blocked off i left that coz it would be real rare for me to have to drive it in the snow , with that being blocked it made two of the vac tubes not working
that suits me as i couldnt find out where they went anyway
i found that one of the vac lines that went from the carby to the distributor was arse about
causing the vac advance to not work over 1500 rpm
since i swapped those around not only does it pull better , now the secondrys open
it even pulled a skid , not bad for a slushmatic
