You lucky bugger, Ian's still waiting for someone to offer him a new pushbike !
Awesome day today. It was good to see so many Toyota's together at the same time. The blue Corona was seriously awesome.
Was good to meet some new people and a good reason to get the old crown out for a drive!!
Had one bloke come up to me with and asked if I was interested in a brand new front panel for my car for $20 (of which I jumped on!) and another who had a MS40 series wagon and ute that he was thinking of parting with and asked if I was interested in looking at.
1970 2M MS55 Crown - Weekend Cruiser.

Great day.. I counted 32 Toyotas in our group.. plus there were a few more scattered about the grounds. Not a bad showing really.
Thanks to Ian for organising and leading the cruise up to the grounds, it went exceptionally well!
Here is a few highlights from the day.. all the Toyotas were cool, these were some of my favourites....
How cool is a chocolate brown *E7* I ask you?!
Gratutious self plug
I love these rims.. i am a sucker for polished lip
Tate's Crown just gets better and better.. these rims are farken horn!!
Justin's MS55 is sooo clean. I continue to love this model... do want!
This was gorgeous in its originality
I love a tough Corolla hardtop.. great stance... good looking wheels... flares... love it
and last but not least... how clean is this.. not your average 78 Corolla!
Every Toyota... except sadly ctrain's as I didn't find it... are here

Hello, it was great to catch up and meet new people
I only saw about 30 percent of the show - truely enormous.
Will get some pictures uploaded later.
Cheers,
Brendon

it was a sensational day
we all managed to get there in a group that in itself was a great effort
then we bullshitted our way in to the oval , we were the first to set up there , and within about an hour or so it was full as a fat womans sock .
thanks to all that attended ,we had some twenty odd celica's and heaps of other toyotas
some one may have an accurate break down , from memory there were over forty
thanks also to Adam for helping to get this happening and taking some great piccys
it was reported that the record was broken at over 4000 cars on display
with a further 200 or so relegated to various car parks (COZ THEY WERE LATE GETTING THERE)
next year could be even bigger with the new 25 year rule
we met lots of new people, and caught up with even more old people after discussing with a few celica members, we did a mental count of how many more couldnt make it for various reasons ,there were at least another ten , we will have to work on on it for next year
and on another note we started to make plans on building a celica B B Q trailer
what do you think ?

Thank you to Ian for all his hard work putting together and planning today.
Good to catch up with all and meet new people.
A really great turn out for the Toyotas. Bigger and better each year!
Another great day! Looking forward to 2012!
Can't wait to get the 22 out for a run again.
Hey Ian just had a couple of beers too mull things over and I like the BBQ idea even more, whats the chances of getting our hands on say a Mustang / add random US car here..... rear end for the BBQ and park it up and cook snags off it?

nostalgia is not what it used to be:
Very sad I couldn't be there, but I'm glad to hear that it was the most successful event yet in both TCCA/Toymods attendance, and overall also.
I'll try and find some pics of Canberra Celica Club's TA22 BBQ Trailer.
It's a great idea, and I thought of doing it myself when I saw a very cheap TA22 for sale, but it will always be you that ends up towing it Ian and that means no towing the Blue shitter.
It was a great day with every GT Falcon, Monaro and any other hot car or bike coming out for its yearly run. The variety of cars there was amazing, you think of a brand and it was probably there. It's good to watch those cars coming through the gate with temp problems.
If you have never been there it is well worth the effect. Pencil it into your calander for next year.
The idea of the BBQ trailer is a great one but they will not let it in at Hanging Rock, it would start a trend l don't think they want.
Roscos![]()
Also with most Picnic at Hanging Rock events being on a Total Fire Ban day, a potable BBQ away from the house is not allowed.
