Have you checked the gas pressures, it sounds to me like it may be overgassed.

Might just have to leave the compressor running constantly.

Take it to the sparky on a hot day
sometimes when you gas a system by the pressure and not the weight when it gets hot the gas pressures can change enough to trip the cutout switch
is your condensor fan working also?
interesting. this also happend at night cool night but could be on to something maybe too much gas...

Check the compressor clutch magnet coil resistance with a multimeter, what is it?
Hi Everyone,
Been keeping an eye on this thread for a while now.
Firstly I will state that I have never worked on your type of car, however I have read through the diagrams and it seems as you have got everything working well.
Just wanted to ask some questions to give you a better answer.
1. If you get the AC running (however which way works at that time) do you run the fan flat out e.g. high speed?
2. When the AC cuts out is thier "ice" on the suction port (big pipe) of the compressor?
3. When the evap was cleaned was the thermistor placed back in the correct position?
4. How is the condition of your Condensor? Do you have a big FMIC?
5. Are you using a cowling/fan shroud?
6. Did your lecky put a vac pump on the system before he regassed it?
7. Is the AC system earthed correctly? E.g. as good or better than standard?
There are a few possabilities that could cause this problem.
Have a great new year and I will catch you 11!
Kind Regards,
Ryan
Happy new year lol.
Same thing happend yesterday coming from work freaking hot day. aircon on about 10kms it turns off pulled over and touched the black pipe on passenger side this was freaking hot! jumped it again and pluged back into relay it worked for about 1km then off again.....

black pipe as in the one from the firewall to compressor??
If so it should be cold. Does the cools fade way just before it shuts off??
yes cools fade away. yeah its the thin black pipe witht he pressure sensor that pipe is very hot to the touch! found out today on private rd of course doing about 140 the aircon kicks back into life not cool but cool enough lol WTF!

The black pipe with the pressure switch on it should be hot, the Silver pipe the larger one should be cold.
cool but why woudl it work at high speed? as soon as a sped up to 140 the aircon kicked in I could actually here feel the comp engaging.....

It really sounds like you should get some to look at it again, it could have one or many faults causing your issues.
I was thinking maybe your TX was sticking as ive seen a few do that especially toyota's but doesnt explain it cutting out, but may explainn the deminished cooling before it cuts out.
It could be a air flow issue as you have a front mount( may also explain why it works at 140) and system pressures may be gettint to high and droping out.
Could also be a fault with the climate control itself ie the box of sparks or its sensors or even something a stupid as a dash mat over the sunlight sensor for example.
oh wtd can that cause it to cut off as there is a dash mat on and over the sunlight sensor..........Guy at the time reckon TX valve is fine and also correct pressure....hmmmmm
