I think it is a good idea, as long as it can satisfy the requirements for the club rego as being an Event..

not a bad idea at all.

I also wouldn't mind taking the adub out once a month and fill up on some grub while talking shit with other enthusiests.

Would also help show off some of the '80's modern classic' groups which don't really fit with either of the classic class or the doof doof/VIP spec crews.

If we could get some similar ilk cars like MA61s or Z20s it would be great.

Im down, like others said, as long as other old school/modern classic Toyota's are turning up. I dont wanna go there with it mostly being tools, ricers, VK's with gauges over bonnets, drug dealer merc's on red p's, and what not,,.

But yeah I'd do it just to hang sounds cool. Once a month seems a better idea to make a date then we all try make it, rather than a "come every saturday when ya feel like" thing as no one will come lol.

Yes, for the club plated vehicles we'd have to make it a sanctioned Toymods calendar event.

Farky, as there won't be a Board meeting until January, I suggest you bring this topic up in the Board section of these forums so we can discuss without having to wait until the next meeting. It may be possible to highlight something like the 1st, 2nd or 3rd Sat per month as an approved "event" for club plates.

Of course, if you have normal plates you can go whenever you want.

PS: Got a map to dump up here so I know where it is, as my knowledge of that area is as lacking as my knowledge of quatum mechanics.

I turn up with my celica at least once a month and see Greg there for a chat. Eventhough my celica isn't on historic plates, I would highly recommend the club makes it a club event. It's a great event with many clubs turning up to admire hundreds of cars and like Greg said, if you're not being an idoit the cops don't bother.

I wont be able to make this one
Will this be a regular (more than once a year) cruise? Or is this pending turnout of the 1st cruise?

Well the point of my initial post was to let people know about the whole car scene at Harry's most Saturday nights and especially the last Saturday of the month. It doesn't necessarily need to be an official Toymods event to go and enjoy what takes place down there. If you're into Classic Cars, Street Machines, Hot Rods etc, it's the place to be.

Not a bad place to catch up with friends and just hang out for a few hours and watch the world go by, this Saturday night is a charity car show to raise money for our friends in QLD with the floods come and have a look.

    cheers Joe
