If it stock standard then it should run at 7 - 8 psi. Check your boost control line!
g'day guys, need a bit of help with my soarer, i've searched this forum and others and can't find a solution.
91 twin turbo, auto, completely stock standard
i have just fitted replacement stock turbo's to the car. and have put everything back together. the turbo's/ wastegates etc. were working fine on my other soarer.
wastegate actuators move freely
vaccum lines that go to the actuators are in standard position and are working fine.
i feel the car is hitting fuel cut or something, i fitted a boost guage and it reads 15psi when i boot it, and the car just feels flat once it hits 15psi or even surges a bit.
what is stock boost on these things?
also the car idles fine and runs until the boost gets too high.
any help much appreciated. cheers.

actually 10psi is the stock boost
with a fuel/boost cut at 14psi
As they say in the book, assembly is the reverse of dismantling, but slower cos you forgot where all the bits are
boost control line?
the vaccume lines are plumbed from the compressor housing straight to the wastegates.
it maybe possible they have stiffer actuator springs in them?
maybe double check that the vacuum hoses are not blocked, kinked and of coarse recheck they are all connected to the correct port etc.
failing everything else maybe try swapping the actuators over from the old set. obviously you want to do this last as its prob going to be time consuming/pain in the arse. HKS did replacement actuators back in the day so it maybe possible that they where swapped. maybe also check with the seller and ask if they had been swapped or modified with a stiffer spring.
stock exhaust? my brother's made 14psi stock as a rock, with only a 3inch from the dumps back
