Default Microtech LT10S Dongle For Laptop

Just wondering if it was possible to make one up. Surely there is a pinout on the "Interenet" Somewhere. It couldnt be that hard to make one. Failing that ill just buy one. Or does anyone have one? (Calling Sideshow)

Maybe you could ex-ray it? No probs thanx anyway. Do you know if i will need one for sure? Because i have a hand controller aswell. I guess the hand controller will go onto the ECU but not a serial cable>PC.

yeah, need to buy one. or you can buy one and work out how to make one so we can all go cheap if you're taking it to a tuner they should have the dongle to use though, but if you're just messing around id be interested in how u go

Most tuners will have one anyway if youre going to get it dyno tuned, unless you especially want to have a bash at it yourself. Although if it doesnt have a base map for your car loaded getting it there could be an issue

If it doesn't have the base map for your motor then you've ordered the wrong thing!

True, and a cable wont help him in that case anyway, microtech charge $380 or so to re flash one I believe

you could probably make one if you wanted too but you have to also remember the dongle contains the memcals for ppl not using a handcontroller, I was quoted 75 bucks for my dongle.
    If in doubt power out

holy crap thats gone up, use to be $250 thats a far percentage of a new ecu!

Iv'e look in a few microtech gadgets before, most have chips with the number ground off in them so good luck copying one. Looks like you will have to pay if you want to tune your own ecu

    My word its expensive.
But I bet it has pretty much stopped the stolen Microtech ecu market (was there ever one?)

Nah i have the base map on the computer(im guessing it would have) Just wanted to know if it was like a rs-232 connection or something. But if it has a circuit board in it or even a memcal or other chip of coarse i would just buy one.
