In which section mine is correct on both pages in cylinder head section. 12.3-16.6 ft-lb.

Maybe i'll go and check in the other 4 18r books i have. What is the number on the back cover and date when printed.

Found the mistake. Book 98196 page 5-27 fig 5-87 tells you to torque the cam caps to 72.3-86.8 ft-lb but if you read the txt it's talking about head bolt, where it should be talking about tightening sequence Books 98142 is correct. Book 98196E has correct torque settings but still calls them head bolts instead of cap bolts. LOL

    Also
    Book 198196 states 8.7-13.0 ft-lb
    Book 198196E states 12 15 ft-lb
Book 198142 states 12.3 16.6 ft-lb so take your choice

yeah its pretty beefy! I wouldve gone the next size down trigger disc, but it was about 15 or 20 mm diameter smaller, and i thought that might be too close to the pulley diameter and cause signal issues.

    Yes its a VR sensor.

    It seems that way.....

I dont really give a crap, so long as i have a nice, healthy, ACCURATE trigger for the Adaptronic. This is something the chain/gear driven dissy is not able to provide.

Knowing now how Jase was able to attach the trigger wheel to the crank pulley, I couldve used a smaller diameter wheel.
But hindsight is blinding like that.

Just stiring mate It's in keeping with the 'solid' nature of the rest of an 18RG bottom end anyways As long as it does the job

Nah, 36-1 trigger wheels are pretty universally used. Suit Haltech, Motec, MS and all the usual suspects.

yeah the teeth numbers are more suited towards a Megasquirt... but the Adaptronic is configurable so it will work just fine.

Reading the adaptronic manual, it seems that it has a maximum of 30-pulses per 360* engine rotation... so because i have 36(minus 1), I have to program it to "skip" every second pulse, essentially making an 18-1 trigger wheel.

... i need to read more tho

Gumwah, there is a link on these forums somewhere to a full scan of the 18r green book. But I can't remember where at the moment.
