Despite the clusterfudge that is access, I still enjoyed the day! That said, I was catching up with mates I don't see often enough so the delays didn't irk me so much.

It was hot, we carried the esky the couple of kays so got a good sweat up - and realised we all could have gotten in with only one ticket between us

    It definitely needs work.

I kind of think we need to support these things so they keep coming back....but I don't want to keep shelling out cash for half-arsed efforts.

Won't go next year, would probably give it another shot the year after that pending reports.

Glad i didn't take time of work to go to this then!

Agree about how average access is to wanneroo tho as has been said with it being one of the major motorsport venues in the state, it's pretty deplorable.

I honestly think that had they left people to their own devices.. the parking situation would have been a hell of a lot better.. half those twats with lollipops had no fucking idea what they were doing... we ended up ignoring them..

Dad just bought a new rangey and was keen for some offroading.. so we went bush to bypass the lollipop twats and came out past the "blockade".. there was another lollipop lady at the entry road to wannaz that we simply drove around... there was actually plenty of parking room at the track.. but it was reserved for "Corporate" booking parking... thing is.. it was half empty (or full, depending on how you see these things)...

we literally drove straight past the security and parked right at the entry to gate 1...

on the way back (just after the last F1 pass).. we simply took one of the offroad/motorbike tracks and drove straight past the traffic cueing to get out...

moral of the story... next time you go.. take a 4wd..

on a side note i was pleasenly surprised..even amazed how well the new rangey goes off road without so much as even dropping pressure in the tires... awesome bit of kit..
