    Default 1GGTE head bolt options

    hay guys,
im in the middle of doing a head gasket and need some direction with the head bolts.

can these still be ordered from toyota? 90110-10003
i know that the ARP studs are the best, but i can't seem to find par numbers for the 1g. one guy said that 1/2jz studs work but i don't know if i want to trust that.

    thanks in advance.

    Curt

so they fit in exactly the same as oem ones, no messing around with the head to make them fit?

what torque settings do you use on these, just the std 65nm?

Hello, I have used the ARP 2jz main studs also in my 1ggte. Was easy to fit.

Yes they just fit, remember to put the washers in first before lowering the head down on the studs.

You can use stock torque yes.

Yes, you could use the stock torque and if they don't have a finer thread pitch they will be clamping down exactly the same as stock, but then, why would you want to use them instead of stock?

they are reusable unlike the stock toyota ones? Of course you can tighten them more, I however have not used them beyond stock so didnt want to advise so.

wheres that main stud ebay link for $162? I can only see head studs which arent suitable to replace the 1g studs for that sort of money on ebay.
