Beams 6 speed box to GA61 XX

There are 2 positions for the J160, but you find that the 1G is already set at the furthest forward one as the other option is for the 3S where the bellhousing mounting face of the engine is a little bit further towards the front of the car.

Here is what I mean (courtesy of Major Clod)

All I needed to do was move this bracket to the forward set of bolt holes



Then there is a part which slides onto the remote shaft, which has the hole for the end of the gearstick to poke into. You unbolt it, knock out a roll pin, stick it onto the remote shaft backwards (it's offset and the shaft has two sets of holes to accommodate the forward position) knock the pin in and bolt up again, and you're done.

Which is to say, that with the shifter moved to the most forward position, it'll sit 50mm further back than a standard W58 shifter (pretty sure teh A70s don't run a remote shifter?)

MA70 is already 70mm ish back from stock MA61 position, so J160 will be 100mm further back from that

This is correct. But I do understand that the position of the lever can be moved forward 50mm (I have seen it done with a is200 box).
