4AGE Alternator charge light query...

I have a hacked apart dash in my sx Seca, i only have the factory fuel, speedo and tach left, all other gauges are stand alone autometer units.


I am yet to install/wire the charge light circuit. I don't really need the light itself installed so i was curious to know if i can wire it straight o IG+ with a resister inline (if i even need that) or even something i can install out of the way/easier like a LED with a resister so the circuit is always connected when IG+ is on just to eliminate the possibility of the factory style globe breaking on me/makes it easier to wire up in whats left of my dash.


I only ask as i have none of the factory plugs installed and am only using sender/sensor wires i need i.e fuel gauge circuit and such.

just install a light. Put IGN+ on one side, and the other side goes to charge light of the alternator.

You can even use a panel mount globe such as these from Jaycar:

Do you think maybe i can just use a resister in parallel with an LED? makes it easier to install that's all.
