Default Question on Plumbing Sard Fuel Pressure Reg.

    Hey All

Picked up a Sard pressure reg with my new engine package, never run one so just wanted to confirm set up

So was going to bring the the feed from the rail into the side of the reg where the line is fitted now, and going back to the tank from the bottom of the reg. Is this correct???

I assume the "gauge" and feed from line ports are interchangeable? The way mine came is with the gauge port on the side rather than the front (with a plug installed)

I gather by the gauge and blingin fittings that the reg started life at mscn, so all holes are now NPT?

    Nope.

Gauge opening/hole is a tapered thread, whereas feed opening/hole is not.

The gauge hole is also BSP thread as shipped from sard, so if we assume that they are tapped to suit, and appropriate fittings are used?

That's why i was curious whether those two holes are interchangeable - your gauge is where my feed from the rail is

I bought my reg brand new of ebay so I doubt it's been tapped, and on mine those holes are not the same.

What makes you believe they get retapped?

you can get an adaptor from dash-6 to NPT in alloy bling or low-tech brass. Just take gauge and FPR to a speed shop that sells that stuff.

You'll notice that he has the fuel pressure gauge MSCN sell as well, so i made the assumption it was bought there, and tapped. I too bought mine on ebay (genuine) and have since had it tapped, but i didn't think to check if it was tapered or not.
