1GGTE Corona

has anyone put a 1GGTE in a 86 corona??? if so does it go well for power to weight kinda thing??

i picked up a 1GGTE fairly cheap and im planing to put it in a corona after i finish rebuilding it...

but yeah how well do they go???

don't know about the corona but the hilux is alot of fun!!
alot of people say that the supra with the 1g was too heavy, so a corona would be abit lighter than a supra you'd think.

any other mods?

not yet, i think the engine is pretty stock, i would like to put a single turbo setup on there one day. wat have you done to yours??

nothing engine wise atm. its just a stock gen3.
i now have a single turbo kit for it which will be fitted once i get around to doing the head gasket aswell

but the engine made nice power and with a clutch kick in 2nd would provide a good skid lol

1GGTE T14* Coronas have definitely been done, pretty sure Farkunell had one at one stage

a 1ggte in my celica supra is very good, at nearly 300kgs lighter than the MK3 supra it came out of is a big big difference. Even a factory 1ggte, with larger exhaust and a FMC you'd be shitting on heaps of cars

quick question bit off topic, 84 toyota corona with the aussie borgwarner diff... how many spline is it 20 or 25 ? cheers need alot of help dont have time with work to take axle out and count and cnt find info on the net.. ???? cheers everyone!

i dont really wanna weld it, my mate said LSD centres are around $400 new

cant get lsd centres for them unless there custom made i got quoted 2000g's for full custom lsd centre! mini spool are round 150 with delivery i think.. go on google there place in melbs called g & j differential or something like that.. just gotta know how many spline diff is =) wich is my probs haha
