Looks like it was a tops day!

While some proper laps are uploading, here's my attempts at going rallying today, for some reason the lure of the gravel was just too much to ignore

First off was after making a much better entry than normal onto the back straight, carrying extra speed, but not adjusting my braking point for turn 10, running out of road as a result. Second off was an attempt to take the fish hook in 2nd gear instead of 3rd (with Ross as passenger), however it seems I was a bit slow to respond to the new bigger turbo's aggressive power delivery Enjoy my mistakes! haha

Must be one of the few times you haven't caught some serious sideways action?

New turbo has some poke, the wagon felt much quicker at full noise than previously

For my 1/2 day preparation I was fairly happy with the result. I my car had bit of a miss but I think I can attribute this to the ecu pulling out timing on spiking IATs. Some ECU logs to go thought to confirm this. It might also be time for me to change from the ST205 WTA setup. I think the whole setup was fully heat soaked, after the 2 hour drive back to Sydney the IATs were still 50 degrees at idle and more on boost.

having said that, I got a Racechrono time of 1:16.7 to match my previous hand timed 1:16.2 but it was done on about 3/4 throttle and the stinking hot day. So there is room for improvement.

Great range of cars, and again that RX8 was impressive but I nearly turned in on him in the kink on the back straight. I was cooling down and didn't see him coming. he may be a professional driver and deep pockets but he has to remember he is out on the track with people that aren't.

haha, so it was you standing on the platform at the pit entry that I waved to? Great shots, I was hoping you'd caught my moment of rally glory with that huge telephoto lens

Can see how hard I was trying to stop it to avoid that excursion, check out the front droop under braking!
