Woohoo! Looks like I might have secured some proper tyres for the rear, at a price for convenience, but oh well, i'll call it a christmas present for my car

All sorted too...after a trek across Canberra to source E85

I now have the GoPro and x2 gum stick cameras so hopefully the car performs worthy of the video volume. Think i'll use the small cameras to suss out what the suspension is doing under loads?

That ebay promise of guaranteed delivery by "xx/xx/xx" date if you buy now seems to be loaded with a high probability of having to listen to seller's excuses and blaming the postal/freight service hey..... seems its almost a guarantee that you WONT get it in time

That said, you are welcome of course to use my QStarz receiver in your car again, its already paired with your phone so should be straight forward. At least that way i'll have an excuse to say "that lap was SO a 1:xx, Shane just had the lap timer though"


No luck on E85 in Kambah still Justen?
With your luck, you could make 2 of those 3 cameras record nothing, or record it upside down, or with no sound, or facing the road, and the one that does record properly will be in some format that you can't edit or upload with your software, based on previous experience

Hi all

Just a last reminder to everyone to make sure your car’s are ready and raring to go for tomorrow. For those in Canberra and are keen for a drive up as a group. Meet spot is detailed below.

When: Wednesday 24 November 2010
Time: 6:45 am for a 7:00 am departure
Where: The United petrol station at Eaglehawk on the Federal Highway, there’s a dirt car park in front and behind the service station for those with trailers.

Make sure you have long pants, long sleeved shirt, enclosed footwear and your helmet, if you don’t have one you can hire this on the day. If you don’t have a current CAMS or AASA licence, then you will have to purchase a Wakefield licence which is $50 and valid for 12 months. This can be done when we all sign in. All passengers will be require to sign in as well.

I will have some drinks (water, coke zero & lift) on ice for everyone, if anyone can find a place that sells powerade or similar by the case, please let me know. I have also organised lunch at the Wakefield Cafe which will get you a burger, chips and drink.

Looks like it’s going to be a warm day, so make sure you have a hat and sunscreen for those that are allergic to the sun.
