EP91 Starlet shifter feel

i noticed that the little square 'cap' that sits on the pin.. sometimes this develops a wear grove.. i measures it, and from memory it was 14.99mm square, and one side was worn to 13.60mm doesnt sound like much.. but it's greatly amplified but the shifter..

turned it around, so the 'slop' was now a firm fit.. this reduced the 'side to side' play immensley..

What cap on what pin? I can't see anything like what you're talking about..
