steel 1jz - r154 bellhousing

Hi guys,

I had the ANDRA tech inspector over here yesterday looking at my roll cage.

talking about what else i would require - and i need a scatter shield.
On a manual i can't use a blanket anymore. I will really struggle to fit a cutom shield in the car.
Hi ssuggestion was a steel bellhousing - which is apparently the most common way of sorting this.

I have googled it - but haven't found to much info on where or who or how much.

So if anyone has any ideas - please let me know.

Are you allowed & is there room to build a scatter shield inside the car over the trans tunnel or is that where they normally fit them as apposed to between the trans & the tunnel under the car ?

As you can see i'm not heavily into the drag seen ...

I have seen a fabricated belhousing where the engine flange and gearbox flange were joined together by bent to shape pieces of flat bar. I looked for a photo I saw ages ago, but......

So if you can get accurately made steel copies of the engine and gearbox flanges, make a solid jig from an original belhousing that uses dowels to accurately locate the 2 flanges relative to each other.
Then it's a 'simple' matter of cutting and bending to shape a bunch of strips of say 3x40 flat bar. Start at the top/middle and work your way around getting as much done and tacked into place before final welding. And doing as much welding while the job is still in the jig.
