WTA is generally better due to shorter piping and less pressure drop, but possibly more expensive when you add cost of water pump, lines and electronics(dependant on wether you can do it yourself or not etc)

IMHO a FMIC of that size is overkill for the stock turbo and you'd want inlets of 2.5" max, smaller prob be better

so if 2.5" is max. then it would probably be ideal to have 2" inlet/outlet diameter?

I thought we agreed the stock turbo wont push 300 whp (unless highflowed)

ideally with a fmic you would have inlet the size of you turbo outlet (so 2" in your case) and the intercooler outlet the same size as your piping and throttle (which ideally should be the same too)

but we dont live in an ideal world so 600x300x76 is the most common (and cheapest) core.

skyline GTR cores are very good and reasonably priced generally

Since when are 3sgte injectors 540cc? I thought 7m-gte ones were the biggest stock toyota injectors you could get?

Also, don't worry about the fuel rail, upgrading that will do fuck all, save your money and get a bigger turbo

    since the gen3.....

    gen1 3sgte are 440 topfeed same as the 7m's,

    gen2 are 440 side feed

    gen3 are 540 side feed.

i presume the gen4 would be 540 at least as they made the most HP from factory.

the gen2 rail is restrictive and many bore them out. the gen3 rails are normally ok for most. and i'd say the gen4 rail is the same

    ^^speaks the truth^^

gen2 rails have known issues...issues that were fixed for the gen3

additional to that the US jza80 2jz-gte had 550cc squirters

Nope you can buy them new still, should get the part no. and price through amayama. Used would be hard as I doubt that many people have upgraded them to something else yet.

as your turbo housing is one piece cast into the manifold i don't think it'd be worth the hassle trying to get it to fit. this is more of an upgrade for gen1 3sgte's as they are single entry and the turbo bolts on with little to no mods.

so have fitted them to gen2's as well some retained the twin entry exhaust housing, other used the single entry housing and "blended" the ports.

i'd just start with the simple ungrades first and see if you pleased with the results, if not then save for a new manifold/turbo/dump combination
